Vehicle Test Engineer

Hours – 7am-4pm Mon-Thurs & 7am-10:30am Fri
9 month contract (likely to be extended)

Responsibilities of the Vehicle Test Engineer include
- Conduct vehicle testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols for vehicle systems and components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical vehicle systems and components to identify and resolve issues (Off highway and automotive is preferrable but not essential)
- Strong communicator required to collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement test methodologies and equipment
- Monitor and report on test results, including issue management to ensure People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost targets are achieved
- Develop equipment specifications and installation requirements, ensuring that the equipment is safe and meets the needs of manufacturing
- Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to drive DFM and best manufacturing practices
Qualifications & Experience Required of the Vehicle Test Engineer
- Experience in data acquisition systems and data analysis for vehicle testing
- Good understanding of vehicle testing processes and production
- Experience of leading quality concern resolution with tools such as 8D, 5why, fishbone diagrams, and other appropriate quality tools
- 6 Sigma project leadership experience
- Degree or equivalent experience required
Competitive Hourly Rate - Umbrella OR PAYE
