Job responsibilities & duties of the Stores Clerk

  • Receive, check and sign for all material as delivered from suppliers, both internal and external
  • Resolve all queries relating to stores material
  • Progress the daily workload through stores to appropriate areas and respond rapidly to any urgent requests
  • Carry out stock checking and maintain record inventory accuracy
  • Progress material around, driving FLT, Flatbed, other handling equipment as required
  • Delivery and collection of items from external storage facilities, including maintaining location records for these
  • Pick full engine build kits, for prototype engines, as required from pick sheets provided, identifying/labelling items
  • Knowledge and use of Internal systems for Booking in / out and tracking items

Skills and Experience required of the Stores Clerk

  • Previous Stores experience is required
  • Counterbalance Forklift license
  • Full driving license as they will be driving a flatbed truck
  • Great attention to detail, ability to communicate by various means due to regular exposure with customers and be flexible with a willingness to work shifts and overtime where required
  • An ability to work under own initiative but contribute to team success is key
