IT Infrastructure Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established IT Infrastructure team, working to maintain and modernise the IT estate, driving our clients’ transformation into the cloud. You'll lead technology upgrades and ensure robust, scalable infrastructure operations.  If you’re a proactive team player, who takes responsibility and is confident in their abilities then this could be for you.  Ideally, someone who has a firm understanding of legacy infrastructure and a good set of migration skills to Azure would thrive in this role.

Some Key Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent availability of IT infrastructure by managing service requests, resolving incidents, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Lead projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new service deployments.
• Transform on-premises infrastructure to cloud services (Azure, SaaS).
• Provide second and third-line support for servers, networks, and storage, working with third-party providers and internal teams.
• Manage procurement and installation of server/network hardware and build relationships with suppliers.

Skills & Experience Required

• Extensive experience with Azure, Networking, Active Directory/Entra ID, Storage, PowerShell, and Virtualization (Hyper-V essential, VMWare desirable).
• Familiarity with IIS, Microsoft System Centre, Cisco firewalls, and HP switches.
• Experience with Azure security services (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel) and governance.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, SQL Server, and Terraform is a plus.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Infrastructure certifications are highly desirable.
