Off-Highway Machinery Test Technician

Initial 12 Month Contract – Extensions very likely for the right person.

Peterborough

We’re looking for an Off-Highway MachineryTest Technician to work in a Global Engine Development facility based in Peterborough. This is an initial 12 month contract, likely to be extended and long term for the right person.

Your duties will include;

  • Working on own initiative as well as to engineers’ instructions
  • Assist engineers in performing Needs Analysis, initiating ideas, evaluating and contributing to the design of new products and processes
  • Diagnosing and fixing a range of faults on machines and powertrains
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) as well as manufacturing specific parts from drawings
  • Adhere to company processes including Safety, Standard Work and Quality

What we’re looking for?

  • Demonstrable understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems with a good working knowledge of powertrains and machines 
  • Competent and fully conversant with engineering drawings.
  • Good PC skills – office suite.
