Facilities Project Engineer

12 month contract- likely to be ongoing for the right person!

Competitive PAYE or Umbrella rates discussed upon application

37.5 hours per week, early finish on Friday at 13:00, potential for overtime

We’re looking for a Facilities Project Engineer to lead infrastructure projects for our client, who specialise in manufacturing heavy machinery and equipment at one of their UK facilities in Desford.

You will be responsible for ensuring facility compliance and driving improvements in a fast - paced environment. With a growing workload and critical compliance needs, this role offers the chance to manage projects from start to finish and make a real impact!

What will you do:

  • Lead facility infrastructure projects (including mechanical, electrical, civils, fire protection and building work)
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintenance programs
  • Work independently, managing projects from conception to commissioning
  • Liaise and manage third party contractors to ensure compliance
  • Investigate and resolve maintenance issues, optimizing equipment and systems

What skills and experience would you need?

  • 5+ years in facilities and infrastructure project management (manufacturing preferred)
  • HND in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Expertise in facility compliance and permit issuing
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office- AutoCAD experience is a plus!
