Engineering Assistant

Permanent, Clevedon (initially fully onsite, after training hybrid working arrangements available)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to join our clients’ technical team in Clevedon. The company is a UK-based manufacturer that designs and builds high-reliability power systems used in safety-critical and infrastructure environments.

This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining accurate engineering documentation, improving processes and supporting the delivery of technical projects. You'll be part of an employee-owned company where your contributions are valued and the rewards are shared!

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage the engineering drawing register and documentation
  • Communicate with internal teams, suppliers and customers to clarify technical requirements
  • Prepare and issue engineering drawings for approval and production
  • Support creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials in the MRP system
  • Keep supplier documentation up to date and ensure document control across systems
  • Assist with internal technical specifications and project documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives

What You'll Need

  • Engineering qualification (Level 3 or 4 in Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • Experience with 2D drawing software
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Attention to detail, excellent communication and strong time management
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and work independently or in a team
  • Experience with MRP systems (desirable)
